My work is influenced by nature and is often inspired by the details and textures that others might not notice. I enjoy forming metal and recreating the subtle changes I find so seductive in the natural world. I look for the details in my compositions, and want my metalwork to reflect a focused study of simple things I see in my surroundings; the delicate curve of a wrapped vine, the shape of a leaf as it lays on ground, the lines of a seashell, the colors of a summer garden, the texture of fish scales. I draw inspiration form organic forms and like to add in a little whimsy here and there.
I use traditional metalsmithing techniques such as shell forming and raising because I feel that keeping these traditions in craft alive is keeping a part of our culture alive. I often work in series because this allows me to explore the uniqueness of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike because each piece has been individually formed, textured, and enameled by hand. Color is a major aspect of my work, and I enjoy playing with vibrant color combinations and adding texture to my enamels with glass beads and frit. I love what I do, and I want that to show in the pieces that I make.

In this section, you will see some of my work from others' collections, as well as my own. So, unfortunately, I can't sell you these. But if you see something you're just dying to have, shoot me an email, and we'll see what we can do about working out a commission for your own collection!
